IBM Voice Gateway

IBM® Voice Gateway provides a way to integrate a set of orchestrated Watson services with a public or private telephone network by using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

With Voice Gateway, you can set up a cognitive self-service agent with Watson™ artificial intelligence at its backbone, so the agent can communicate directly with customers and handle complex interactions that are difficult for traditional interactive voice response (IVR) systems. You can also configure Voice Gateway as an agent assistant, which can transcribe a phone call between a customer caller and customer service agent so that the conversation can be processed with analytics for real-time agent feedback. For more information, see the IBM Voice Gateway documentation.

By deploying Voice Gateway on IBM Cloud Private, you can quickly set up a self-service agent or agent assistant in the private cloud. When Voice Gateway is deployed, it connects out to other external services and network components, such as the Watson services and a SIP provider or contact center infrastructure. Voice Gateway comes with a license for development and limited production use, which you can upgrade to a license for a full production environment.
