Changing the IP address or host name of an IBM Cloud Private cluster node

You cannot change the IP address or host name of a node after your IBM® Cloud Private cluster is installed.

However, you can complete the following steps to change the IP address or host name of a node in your cluster:

1. Remove the node from cluster. See Removing an IBM Cloud Private cluster node or Removing an IBM Cloud Private-CE cluster node.
2. Change the IP address or host name of the node as required.
3. Add back the node to your cluster. See Adding an IBM Cloud Private cluster node or Adding an IBM Cloud Private-CE cluster node.

Note: You cannot remove and add back a master node after your IBM® Cloud Private cluster is installed. Therefore, you cannot change the IP address or host name of a master node that is part of an installed cluster.
