Binding a service ID to a team

Binding a service ID to a team allows administrators and operators to manage the service ID. They can create and remove new API Keys, and access policies.

Note: Your team must have access to the same namespace that is bound to the service ID.

Cluster administrators can bind a service ID to a team using the Teams tab or using the Service IDs tab.

Bind a service ID using the Teams tab

Follow the tasks to bind a service ID to your team from the Teams tab:

  1. From the navigation menu, click Manage > Identity & Access > Service IDs.

  2. Select your service ID name and click the Teams tab.

  3. From the Teams tab, click Add Team.

  4. Select the team that needs access to add them to the namespace that is bound to the service ID.

  5. Click Add to add the service ID to the selected teams.

    Note: The management console requires you to add more teams if all available teams have been added to the service ID, or there are no more teams that meet the requirements.

  6. To remove teams that are bound to the service ID from the Teams tab, complete the following steps:

    1. From the Teams tab, hover the cursor over your team name.

    2. Click the Options icon (Options icon) and select Remove

      Your service ID is removed from your team that was bound.

Bind a service ID using the Service IDs tab

Complete the following steps to bind a service ID to your team from the Service IDs tab:

  1. From the navigation menu, click Manage > Identity & Access > Teams.

  2. Select your team name and click the Service ID tab.

  3. From the Service IDs tab, click Add Service IDs.

  4. Select the service ID to add to the team.

  5. Click Add to add the team to the service ID.

  6. To remove teams that are bound to the service ID from the Service IDs tab, complete the following steps:

    1. From the Service IDs tab, hover the cursor over your service ID name.

    2. Click the Options icon (Options icon) and select Remove.

      Your service ID is removed from your team that was bound.
