New features and enhancements in Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager - Wireline component

New features and enhancements that are introduced in IBM® Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager, Version 1.4.5.

Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager, version 1.4.5 offers the following new versions of the supported software, features and enhancements for Wireline component.

Database support
Support for Oracle 18c (Oracle 18.0.0) Enterprise Edition on Solaris (SPARC), Linux, and AIX®.
Note: Oracle 18c Enterprise Edition must include the partitioning option.

    Note: IBM DB2 database is supported on RHEL systems only.

Support for Jazz® for Service Management, V1.1.3.0
  • The supported Tivoli Common Reporting, and Dashboard Application Services Hub version is 3.1.3.0.
  • Tivoli Common Reporting 3.1.3.0 is based on IBM Cognos® Business Intelligence Reporting version 10.2.2.
Note: For IBM Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager, Version 1.4.5, ensure that the Jazz for Service Management is on 1.1.3.0 is with Fix pack 3 version. See 1.1.3-TIV-JazzSM-multi-FP003.
IBM Java™ 1.8
  • Supports IBM Java Runtime Environment (JRE):
    • 1.8.0 SR5 FP25, 32-bit
    • 1.8, 64-bit is required for DataView that runs on Dashboard Application Services Hub that is installed together with the Jazz for Service Management 1.1.3.0
  • Supports IBM Java Runtime Environment (JRE):
    • 1.7.0 SR10 FP35, 32-bit
    • 1.8.0 SR5 FP25, 64-bit for DataMart only
Support for upgrade path
Support for upgrade path from Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager 1.4.4 to 1.4.5.
