Instructions on how to install the Oracle and DB2 database for Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager.

Oracle deployment guidelines

Use the following guide lines for setting up your oracle binaries during IBM® Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager, Version 1.4.4 setup in your cluster.

For a stand-alone Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager 1.4.4 setup, the Oracle binaries must be installed in the following order:
  1. Oracle Server
  2. Oracle client 32-bit
  3. Oracle client 64-bit

You need to install the following oracle binaries which depend on the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager components in your servers.

Refer to the following table for a distributed Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager setup.

Note: You need to regularly purge the metric data either by manually purging or by using a cron job. For more information, see Purging metric data
