Updates for June 2019

Updates to Maximo® EAM SaaS include the ability to configure applications in a nonproduction environment.

Modifying application presentation files in a nonproduction environment

You can now work in a nonproduction environment to update applications without affecting the data in your production environment.

By using a nonproduction environment, you can update an application in Application Designer by configuring parts of the application's presentation file. For example, you can modify field labels, edit dialog boxes, and add a selection of provided supplemental, or extra, fields. After you complete your changes, you can then import the changes into your production environment. You can view information about objects and their attributes and relationships in the Database Information application and the Object Structures application.

To use a nonproduction environment, you must request access by submitting a support case. After your nonproduction environment is created, you receive an email notification with a link to your new environment.
