Integration with UrbanCode Deploy
IBM® UrbanCode™ Deploy
is a tool for automating application deployments in the environments that you set up. The
tool facilitates continuous testing and delivery in agile development. You can integrate
Rational® Integration Tester
with IBM UrbanCode Deploy by using either of the following plug-ins: Rational Integration Tester
plug-in or Service Virtualization plug-in.
Rational Integration Tester plug-in
With the Rational Integration Tester
plug-in, you can invoke a test resource (a test, a test suite, or a performance test)
defined in a Rational Integration Tester
test project. To enable the integration, do the following tasks:
- Install Rational Integration Tester plug-in on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy server.
- Install Rational Integration Tester on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy agent computer.
- Deploy the system under test (SUT) on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy agent computer.
Service Virtualization plug-in
Service Virtualization helps you to automate the testing of integration in complex application environments much earlier in the development life cycle. You can use the Service Virtualization plug-in for creating virtual services that model the services that your application depends on. You can virtualize services that are accessed through various technologies, including HTTP, MQ, JMS, JDBC, TCP/IP, CICS-TG, IMS Connect, SAP, and Software AG web methods. To enable the integration, do the following tasks:
- Install the Service Virtualization plug-in on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy server.
- Install IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy agent computer.
- Deploy the system under test (SUT) on the IBM UrbanCode Deploy agent computer.
