Determining more information about pool file records used by z/TPFCS
One way to analyze a pool file record you suspect is being used by z/TPFCS to store a given collection in the z/TPF database is to do so manually using the ZDFIL command. While this procedure would be the most thorough, it requires a detailed knowledge of the information presented here, as well as a detailed knowledge of how each of the objects stored in the record is defined in the z/TPFCS source code. An easier approach is to use the ZBROW FA command. This will provide some of the basic information about how that pool file record may 1 be used by z/TPFCS. If you need more detailed information, then use the ZDFIL command.
For more information about how to use the ZBROW FA, see z/TPF Operations.
1 The
record might not ever be used by z/TPFCS even if it contains data that looks
valid.
