Upgrading from version 1.4.2

To upgrade to IBM® Service Management Suite for z/OS® V1.5.0 from version 1.4.2, complete the following tasks.

Upgrade your component products to the latest levels that are included in the suite, including applicable APARs:

OMEGAMON® Performance Management Suite for z/OS V5.5.0:

For the latest NetView for z/OS 6.2.1 functions, install the following APARs:

OA48626: New mechanism for accessing Canzlog archive files

OA51973/OA51974: NetView initialization message reduction

- Optional removal of the following items:
  - blanks and commas from command strings before CRT comparison
  - delimiters from EDIT specifications
- Support for hex values in UPON statements (MRT and CRT), and PREFIX value lengths other than 3.
