Environment requirements

To successfully install and configure IBM® Service Management Unite V1.1.5, your environment must meet certain requirements.

Your environment must include at least one system running z/OS® V1.13 or later, and at least one physical or virtual image of Linux x86-64 or Linux on System z®. For the distributed systems, the language setting in system locale must be English to install Service Management Unite. Critical prerequisite components for installing and using IBM Service Management Unite include WebSphere® Application Server and Jazz™ for Service Management with Dashboard Application Services Hub (DASH). Refer to Software prerequisites for the complete list of requirements.

Note: Installing multiple Service Management Unite instances on one server is not supported.
IBM Service Management Unite V1.1.5 supports these IBM Service Management Suite for z/OS components:
  • System Automation for z/OS 4.1.0
  • System Automation for z/OS 3.5.0 (with APAR OA51668 installed)
  • OMEGAMON® Performance Management Suite for z/OS 5.5.0 (which includes IBM Tivoli® Monitoring infrastructure)
  • NetView® for z/OS 6.2.1
  • Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS 8.1
  • IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis 1.3.1
