Enter reported values

Complete the following steps to enter reported values in IBM® Controller Web.

Procedure

  1. On the Populate tab, click one of the available forms. The form opens.
    Tip: Use the Search field to search for a specific form or the Additional form filter icon filter icon to filter by free form or standard form.

    An actuality or period can be opened or closed for data entry, depending on the settings in Cognos Controller Classic.

    The companies available for data entry are determined by your user rights.

  2. Select or enter the form for which you want to enter values. Other text boxes can also appear, depending on what type of information the selected form contains.

    The forms available for data entry are determined by the settings of the current submission, which is defined in the Define Submission window in Cognos Controller Classic. Available forms also depend on user rights and defined linked structures.

  3. To enter data in a cell, click the cell, and type a value.
  4. A green marker green marker in cell means that there is an optional or mandatory comment field associated with the cell. To enter a comment, do the following steps:
    1. Mouse over the green marker, click Add optional comment, type your comment, and optionally attach a file to the comment.
      Note: If you attach the same file to multiple accounts, you must save your changes each time you attach the file to an account.

      Supported file types are .txt, .csv, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .jpg,.png, and .pdf. You can attach multiple files with a maximum size of 2 MB per file.

    2. For a mandatory comment, when you click the cell, the comment window opens, and you must enter the value and a comment, and optionally attach a file to the comment.
    If the cell has a green marker, it turns yellow yellow marker in cell, which indicates that a comment was added to it.
  5. If the account is an intercompany account, then the cell has a blue marker. Blue marker in cell Click the cell.
    The Intercompany Details window opens.
    1. Click the plus icon Plus and specify the following items:
      • Counter Company
      • Counter Dimension
        Note: Counter Dimension applies for only the extended dimension 1 on accounts with intercompany code I or J.
      • Transaction Currency
      • Transaction Amount
      • Local Amount
      • Comment
      Tip: You can add a comment to any intercompany line. You can also add a general comment in the Optional comment column.
    2. Click Apply.
  6. Click Save to save the form.
  7. If you want to export the data in this form to a spreadsheet, click Export data.
