Collaborating on a WML for z/OS project

A WML for z/OS project contains all the resources that you need to achieve a particular data analysis goal. In addition to data and analytic tools, your project resources can also include collaborators. You can easily add an authorized user as a collaborator to your project.

Before you begin

  1. You must have one or more WML for z/OS projects under your account. Otherwise, create at least one project before you can invite others to collaborate.
  2. Make sure that the user that you want to add as a collaborator is already authorized to access and use WML for z/OS.

Procedure

  1. Sign into the WML for z/OS web user interface with your user name and password.
  2. From the sidebar on the left, go to the My Projects page.
  3. Select and open a project that you want to add a new collaborator.
  4. On the project page, click the Collaborators tab and then the Add collaborator button.
  5. Enter the username or email address of the collaborator that you want to add.

The username or email address must be valid, matching that of an authorized user. WML for z/OS searches and validates the username or email address in the database as you type it.

  6. Choose an appropriate access level by assigning the new collaborator as a viewer, editor, or administrator of the project.

An access level determines the permissions and actions that the collaborator can do on the shared project. With the viewer, editor, or administrator permission, a project collaborator can perform the following actions:
