Restarting an IBM BPM on Cloud server

If any of the development, test, or process runtime environments become unstable, you can restart the IBM® Business Process Manager on Cloud server for that environment.

Before you begin

To restart environments, you must have the Operator role.

About this task

IBM BPM version 8570 cumulative fix 2017.03Restarting the server for the process runtime environment is now supported.

Procedure

To restart the server for an environment, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to IBM BPM on Cloud (https://www.bpm.ibmcloud.com).
  2. Click Admin > Operating Environment Management.
  3. In the navigation pane, expand Development, Test, or Process Runtime.
  4. Click Environment Recovery > Recover.

Results

Development, test, and IBM BPM on Cloud Express process runtime environments.
Restarting the server takes about 20 minutes to complete. During the restart, the environment is not available.
IBM BPM on Cloud process runtime and clustered environments.
The environment remains available during the server restart.
