Choreography diagrams are a type of BPMN collaboration diagram that focuses on the message and the sequence of the messages between the participants. You use choreography diagrams to visually focus on the message flows in the collaboration between the pools or pool objects.

Creating choreography tasks in BPMN diagrams
A choreography task represents an initiating participant that sends a message to a receiving participant. Choreography tasks can contain messages and other resources. Choreography tasks can be sequenced together with other choreography tasks. You can also link participants from a different model to the choreography task. You can specify an initiating message as well as the response from the receiving participant, with or without a message.
Creating call choreographies in BPMN diagrams
A call choreography is a reference to a global choreography task or choreography. A call choreography is similar to a call activity in BPMN models. A call choreography is used to reference a global task that can be reused and referenced by other diagrams or elements.
Creating global choreography tasks in BPMN diagrams
You can create a global choreography task when you add a call choreography to the diagram editor or you can add one in the Project Explorer view.
