Alerts enable users and administrators to specify queries that can
be run at any time, and which provide them with new results via
email. Watson Explorer Engine alerts enables users and
administrators to choose any combination of available sources to
query.
Watson Explorer Engine provides three
types of alerts:
- Basic Alerts notify users via email of new results returned by the specified sources.
- Custom Alerts search for new results (where "new" can be defined to mean new URL, new title, and so on) that are returned by the specified sources for a specific query. Administrators may also design their own parsers to extract and display whatever information they choose.
