Setting up and administering cloud subscriptions

Your Operational Decision Manager on Cloud tenant resides in the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service portal. You use the tools in the portal to manage accounts, permissions, and security.

For information about the tools, see Setting up and administering subscriptions External link opens a new window or tab in the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service documentation.

The documentation includes:
  • Password management External link opens a new window or tab

Both users and services use IDs and passwords to authenticate to the cloud subscription. To ensure password integrity, password policies apply to both user accounts and service accounts.

  • Inviting users External link opens a new window or tab

If you are assigned the Account Administrator role, you can invite users to access your cloud subscription by using the cloud portal.

  • Creating and managing service accounts External link opens a new window or tab

A service account is used by client applications to authenticate to the cloud subscription. Create a service account by generating service credentials.

  • Assigning roles and permissions External link opens a new window or tab

A cloud subscription includes environments for developing, testing, and running automation applications. If you have the Account Administrator role, you specify which environments a user can access and the role, if any, the user has in each environment.
