Upgrading to Release 10.0
This topic guides you through the concepts and procedures for upgrading from previous versions to Sterling Order Management System Software, Release 10.0.
To upgrade from Sterling Order Management System Software Release 9.3 or later to Release 10.0, you must follow the sequence of procedure.
Before you start the upgrade process, ensure that you have downloaded the latest fix pack. If you are upgrading from Release 9.3, ensure to apply HF8 or later in the 9.3 runtime.
It is assumed that you are installing Sterling Order Management System Software Release 10.0 in a new directory.
- Sterling Warehouse Management System is not supported in Sterling Order Management System Software version 9.3 or later.
- If you upgrade to Sterling Order Management System Software version 9.2 or later, Sterling Warehouse Management System functionality is lost.
- If you have a previous version of the application installed, ensure that you first install Sterling Order Management System Software, Release 10.0 in upgrade mode.
If you want to perform the multischema upgrade, change the newly installed Release 10.0 upgrade mode to the multischema upgrade mode. For more information, see Upgrading to a containerized Sterling Order Management System Software application. After completing these tasks, proceed with the upgrade.
