The installation program sets several default port assignments. If a port is already in use by another application or resource, you must assign a different port number when you run the installation program.
After the product is installed, you can change the assignments to avoid port conflicts when you configure new resources or assign port numbers to other applications.
The port numbers used by WebSphere® Application Server depend on the number of server instances defined on WebSphere Application Server, and might be different from the values shown in this table. Typically, the port numbers begin with 9080 and then increment according to the number of instances. The web server default port, 80, is not affected by the WebSphere Application Server instance ports.
