For monitoring HADR databases, you must establish a JDBC connection to retrieve the
monitor data. A connection profile defines how the product collects, processes, and stores
monitoring data for specific databases. A connection profile is the primary requirement for
connecting to the database.
Procedure
To add an HADR connection profile:
- Log in to IBM®
Db2® Data Management Console.
- Locate the primary node of HADR.
- Click Administration and go to Connection profile >
Add connection.
- Enter/select connection parameters in the required fields provided.
- Select "Initialize HADR" to generate the preview properties of the HADR standby
members.
- Customize the profile names of standby members if required.
- Correct the hosts and ports of standby members.
Note:
If the primary properties of the database meta information changes, click the "Retrieve" button
to refresh the preview of the HADR standby members.
- Click Save to add the HADR member profiles.
Note:
The collection credential or operation credential of the primary node will be reused to define
the standby profiles.
