Tuning queries and workloads

You can use the tuning wizard, to create your initial tuning jobs.

Before launching the tuning wizard, select a database from the drop-down list at the top of the Db2 window.

Launch the tuning wizard by selecting Optimize > Start Tuning from the navigation bar. From here, you create your tuning job by performing the following tasks:
  • Choosing a data source
  • Selecting one or more SQL statements to tune
  • Choosing EXPLAIN and tuning options
  • Running the tuning job
