Defects application
You can document and track defects, associate existing solutions with defects, and create draft solutions. You can record defective assets that do not comply with industry standards and regulations. You can link defects to audits that are conducted as the result of a nonconformance.
To help in tracking product-related defects, you can associate a configuration item with a defect. Additionally, you can associate a product name with a defect.
If a defect requires a follow-up ticket or a work order, you can
generate the following types of records from this application:
- Action
- Defect
- Improvement
- Investigation
- Management of change
- Management of change request
- Service request
- Work order
Defect records might also be created automatically from such sources as email, system monitoring tools, and external applications.
