IBM Cloud Orchestrator, Version 2.5.0.3

What is new

The following enhancements were introduced in the current release.

IBM® Cloud Orchestrator having IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack Kilo HTTPs support

This release supports the communication of IBM Cloud Orchestrator with IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack Kilo with services that are configured on either HTTP or HTTPS.

RefStack compliant OpenStack Mitaka release support

This release supports the integration with Mitaka release of OpenStack that uses a shared keystone model. However, IBM Cloud Orchestrator can connect only to one instance of OpenStack, which can be either IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack Kilo or OpenStack Mitaka. You can use OpenStack Mitaka with services that are configured on either HTTP or HTTPS.

OpenStack User Groups for adding roles
From the IBM Cloud Orchestrator, you can now create a group, add users to the group, add roles to the group, and associate a group to a project.
Domain management
You can now manage domains from IBM Cloud Orchestrator Self service user interface.
Certificate Management Tool
Using automated script, you can replace the existing certificates with either self-signed certificates or CA signed certificates.
Support of VMware NSX network virtualization platform
You can now install NSX plug-in that is provided by IBM Cloud Orchestrator to enable software-defined networking (SDN) in a VMware vSphere environment. The NSX plug-in can be installed and configured with IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack V4.3 Fix Pack 7. This NSX plug-in is supported on a newly deployed VMware region that is configured with NSX capability. The supported NSX versions are 6.2.2 and 6.2.4.
TLS V1.2
The following components are configured with TLS V1.2:
  • IBM HTTP Server
  • WebSphere® Application Server
  • IBM DB2®
The IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere Application Server, and IBM DB2 are enabled for TLS V1.2 automatically whereas you must manually configure TLS V1.2 for external DB2.
Jetty to Liberty Server migration
The IBM Cloud Orchestrator Self service user interface Application server and Public Cloud Gateway server are migrated from Jetty to WebSphere Application Server Liberty V16.0.0.4 Server.
IBM SmartCloud® Cost Management RefStack compliant OpenStack Mitaka integration support for IBM Cloud Orchestrator
This release supports the integration of IBM SmartCloud Cost Management with OpenStack Mitaka release.
IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack environment in HTTPS mode support for IBM SmartCloud Cost Management
IBM SmartCloud Cost Management now supports IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack even if it is in HTTPS mode.
Enable SSL on DB2 of IBM SmartCloud Cost Management client
You can enable or disable "SSLEnabled" flag on the database data source of IBM SmartCloud Cost Management.
