Stopping Sterling B2B Integrator in a Windows environment

You can do a softstop or a hardstop for Sterling B2B Integrator.

A message is displayed after the services have been stopped. Services include Noapps, Opsserver, WebDav, and Database-related service.

Softstop for the application

A soft stop of Sterling B2B Integrator halts the system after all the business processes finish running.

Note: Running the soft stop command in a clustered environment suspends all of the scheduled business processes. It is recommended to run the hard stop command when stopping individual nodes of a cluster.
Complete the following steps to stop Sterling B2B Integrator:
  1. From the Administration Menu, select Operations > System > Troubleshooter.
  2. Click Stop the System and wait for shutdown to complete.

Hardstop for the application

A hard stop halts the system without waiting for business processes to finish. Hard stops may result in loss of data in unfinished processes.

Complete the following steps to stop Sterling B2B Integrator:
  1. Navigate to \<install_dir>\install\bin.
  2. Enter StopWindowsService.cmd.

Stop an entire cluster

Complete the following steps to stop an entire cluster:
  1. From the Administration Menu, select Operations > System > Troubleshooter.
  2. Click Stop the System and wait for shutdown to complete.

Hardstop a node in a cluster environment

You can stop a single Sterling B2B Integrator node in a cluster environment. To run a hardstop, complete the following steps for each node.

Complete the following steps to stop a single node from the user interface:
  1. From the Administration Menu, select Operations > System > Troubleshooter.
  2. Click the Shutdown link for the node that you want to stop.
Complete the following steps to stop a single node from the command prompt:
  1. Navigate to \<install_dir>\install\bin.
  2. Enter StopWindowsService.cmd.
  3. Enter your passphrase.
