Using Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter Services in a Business Process

The Sterling Connect:Direct® Server Adapter provides a suite of B2B services to establish communication between Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling Connect:Direct.

Using these services, you can create business processes to perform the same tasks performed with Sterling Connect:Direct Processes and with Sterling Connect:Direct commands.

The Sterling Connect:Direct Server services correspond to the Sterling Connect:Direct Process Language. These services work with the Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter. All services (except for Sterling Connect:Direct Server BP Response Service) are used when the Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter is the PNODE. The Sterling Connect:Direct Server BP Response Service is used when the Sterling Connect:Direct Server Adapter is the SNODE and Sterling Connect:Direct is retrieving a file from Sterling B2B Integrator.

The services created specifically for use with Sterling Connect:Direct are described in sample workflows in this user guide. These workflows demonstrate how each service is used within a business process.
