Errorlogname

This option specifies the fully qualified path and file name of the file that contains the error messages.

AIX operating systems HP-UX operating systems Linux operating systems Oracle Solaris operating systems Mac OS X operating systems The value for this option overrides the DSM_LOG environment variable. The dsmwebcl.log and dsmsched.log files are created in the same directory as the error log file you specify with the errorlogname option.

Mac OS X operating systems For Mac OS X, the default location is one of the following:
~/Library/Logs/tivoli/tsm/
/Library/Logs/tivoli/tsm/

Mac OS X operating systems The dsmerror.log cannot be a symbolic link.

Windows operating systems The value for this option overrides the DSM_LOG environment variable. The dsmwebcl.log and dsmsched.log files are created in the same directory as the error log file you specify with the errorlogname option.

This option is valid for all clients.

Options File

AIX operating systems HP-UX operating systems Linux operating systems Oracle Solaris operating systems Mac OS X operating systems Place this option in the dsm.sys file within a server stanza. You can set this option on the General tab, Select Error Log button of the Preferences editor.

Windows operating systems Place this option in the client options file (dsm.opt). You can set this option on the General tab, Select Error Log button of the Preferences editor.

Parameters

filespec
The fully qualified path and file name in which to store error log information. If any part of the path you specify does not exist, Tivoli® Storage Manager attempts to create it.

This option is valid only on the initial command line. It is not valid in interactive mode.

Windows operating systems The location of the log file specified using the Client Service Configuration Utility or the client configuration wizard overrides the location specified in the client options file (dsm.opt).
