New in Version 5.5

The following changes were introduced to OMEGAMON for Networks on z/OS in Version 5.5 or since Version 5.3 was released.

• The product name was changed from IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for Mainframe Networks to IBM OMEGAMON for Networks on z/OS.
• Monitoring support for z/OS Communications Server's Shared Memory Communications over RDMA (SMC-R) and Shared Memory Communications-Direct Memory Access (SMC-D) solutions.
• Monitoring support for IBM 10GbE RoCE Express and Internal Shared Memory (ISM) features of IBM Systems z13® and z13s®. A RoCE Express feature as defined to z/OS is known as an RDMA network interface card (RNIC) by z/OS Communications Server.
• The following attribute groups were added:
  • KN3 TCP Counter SMC Statistics
  • KN3 ISM Status
  • KN3 RNIC Status
  • KN3 RNIC Statistics
  • KN3 SMCD Link Statistics
  • KN3 SMCR Group Statistics
  • KN3 SMCR Link Statistics

• The following attribute groups were introduced as a replacement for the TCPIP Details attribute group. The TCPIP Details attribute group had reached an architectural limit, which prevented adding new attributes. In addition to the attributes in TCPIP Details, these attribute groups contain additional attributes for SMC and other information about a TCP connection.
