You can use the Manage function on the Hardware Management Console (HMC) to manage the configuration of logical partitions and the virtual and hardware resources that are allocated to each logical partition.

Logical partitions increase utilization of system resources and add a new level of configuration possibilities. You can use logical partitions to reduce the footprint of your datacenter by consolidating servers and maximize the use of system resources by sharing resources among multiple logical partitions.
