Complete the following steps before replacing any system components:
- Ensure that the controller and each device on the SCSI bus is assigned a unique SCSI ID.
- Ensure that the SCSI bus is properly terminated.
- Ensure that the SCSI signal and power cables are securely connected and are not damaged.
The location code information is required to identify the ID of SCSI device failures as well as to indicate the location of the controller to which the device is attached. Check the system error logs to determine the location code information associated with the error code.
- Replace the media (if a device with removable media).
- Replace the SCSI device. See Finding parts, locations, and addresses for SCSI device FRU part numbers.
