Enable your server for Elastic Capacity on Demand (CoD), before requesting
temporary capacity on your server.
Perform the following steps to enable your server for
Elastic CoD:
- Retrieve the Elastic CoD enablement code by accessing http://www-912.ibm.com/pod/pod.
- To enter your activation code on your
server by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC), choose one
of the following navigation options depending on the interface type
of the HMC:
- If you are using an HMC Classic or HMC Enhanced interface, use
the HMC Capacity On Demand > Enter CoD Code task.
- If you are using an HMC Enhanced+ interface, use the Capacity
on Demand > CoD functions > Enter CoD Code task.
