Viewing settings for Capacity on Demand resources

You can use the Hardware Management Console (HMC) to view Capacity on Demand (CoD) settings.

You can see how many processor cores or memory units you have, how many are active, and how many are available for activation using CoD with these settings. You can also view information about your Elastic CoD processor cores and memory units, Trial CoD processor cores and memory units, Utility CoD processor cores, and Mobile CoD processor cores and memory units.

To view the capacity settings for processor cores or memory by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC), choose one of the following navigation options depending on the interface type of the HMC:
  • If you are using the HMC Classic or HMC Enhanced interface, use the HMC Capacity On Demand > Processor or Memory > View Capacity Settings task.
  • If you are using the HMC Enhanced+ interface, use the Capacity on Demand > CoD functions > View Processor Settings or View Memory settings task.
