SE68057: RDI 9.5.1.2 LPEX FIND TEXT SETTING "RESTRICT SEARCH TO SELECTION" INCORRECTLY AUTO-ENABLED BY SELECTION IN ANOTHER EDIT SESSION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the Find Text dialog is opened in the Remote Systems LPEX
  Editor in Rational Developer for i 9.5.1.2 when there is source
  selected in another edit session then the checkbox "Restrict
  search to selection" will be automatically enabled even if there
  is no text selected in the current edit session.  When this
  happens the search will not be successful.
  

Local fix

• Manually uncheck the checkbox for "Restrict search to selection"
  when not required

  unchecked.   The box should not be filled because of the
  selection in another file.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in the RDi 9.6.0 release.
