PM53654: PIE CHARTS CREATED WITH CHART TEMPLATE ARE NOT EXPORTED PROPERLY AS ENHANCED METAFILE (*.EMF) FILES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You work with IBM SPSS Statistics 19 or 20 and create pie charts
  with chsrt templates where you defined own colors for the slices
  as the available colors on color palette. For example on "Choose
  a color tab" you selected the RGB tab and entered own RGB
  values. Additionally your template incluse other settings for
  the template e.g. transparent borders for slices and data value
  labels.
  
  When you export these charts as Enhanced Metafile EMF chart
  files you notice that the charts are not exported properly.
  Sometimes you see only one exported slice, sometime only the
  data value labels etc.
  
  This was reported to IBM SPSS Development. As a workaround
  please do the following:
  
  Open a pie chart you created with your template in chart editor
  and click on File - Save template.
  Save your template again but do NOT check this option below "All
  settings - Layout":
  Do not check "Text data, and other frames".
  Save your template without this option and recreate the pie
  chart. Export the recreated pie charts as EMF files now and they
  will be exported properly then.
