APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The JRE that is shipped with the Suite Install image does not
contain the copyright and notices.htm files. This JRE is located
in the install image at is-suite/_jvm.

During installation, this JRE is also copied to the InfoSphere
    Information Server install directory at
    <ISInstall>/InformationServer/_uninstall/_jvm, and hence the
copyright and notices.htm files are also missing from there.

Problem summary

  • Notices and copyright files missing in 85 Installer

Problem conclusion

  • The Information Server 8.5 installer includes a Java runtime
environment (JRE) which was missing certain copyright and
notice files that were legally supposed to accompany it. A
patch has been created that delivers these files to an
    already-installed and functioning Information Server.
