Error description

  • This APAR includes fixes to various defects identified in CICS
Explorer V5.4.0.

Problem summary


    

  • - When exporting policy event specification, some error messages
which should have been flagged as warnings are being logged as
errors.
- When an authentication failure occurs CICS Explorer tries to
reconnect automatically hence incrementing the failed logon
count.
- Background work needs to be completed in order to provide
support for future CICS APAR PI87691.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • - When exporting policy event specification, some error messages
are changed to warnings. Errors are still flagged in the policy
editor and will prevent the export from occurring.
- When receiving an authentication failure, the CMCI connection
now disconnects fully to prevent incrementing the failed logon
count.
- Support for future CICS APAR PI87691.

This fix will be made available in Version 5.4.0.4 of the CICS
Explorer.
