Abstract

Fix pack for IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, AccessAgent, Version 8.2.2.

This fix pack corrects the following issues that are found in the IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, Version 8.2.2 release.
  • APAR IV83885
    Custom dialog box labels for an authentication service are not applied.

The following fixes only affect IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager users:
  • APAR IV82439
    Session Recorder might fail when mouse interactions occur during a recording.
  • APAR IV86044
    Users might experience slowness in applications that are monitored by the session recorder.

The following updates apply only to IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager users:
  • Windows 10 support.
    Update: AccessAgent 8.2.2 is currently not fully compatible with Windows 10, version 1607. In Windows 10, version 1607, some Windows components and user interface elements have changed. AccessProfiles that involve PuTTY and the Windows Security dialog box, such as Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) will not function as expected. AccessAgent 8.2.2 continues to be fully compatible with Windows 10, version 1511.
  • Updated Remote Desktop Connection AccessProfile for Windows 10.

This fix pack contains the following files:

  • 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_32.msp
  • 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_64.msp

Windows 7 and Windows 8: Before you install this fix pack, ensure that you have installed one of the following versions of AccessAgent:
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0084 (GA)
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0132 (Fix Pack 1)
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0183 (Fix Pack 3)
Windows 10: Before you install this fix pack, ensure that you have installed the following version of AccessAgent:
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0183 (GA Refresh with Fix Pack 3)

The following steps apply only to users of IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager on Windows 10.

1. Download the refreshed AccessAgent 8.2.2 installer with Fix Pack 3 from Passport Advantage.Passport Advantage

3. Install this fix pack.
4. Download and apply the latest Remote Desktop Connection AccessProfile.Privileged Identity Manager Remote Desktop Connection AccessProfile

Installing the AccessAgent fix pack

  1. Download the AccessAgent installer file from Fix Central into your local computer. For example: C:\Temp.
    • For Windows 32-bit: 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_32.msp
    • For Windows 64-bit: 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_64.msp
  2. Run the AccessAgent installer file with administrator privileges.
  3. Note: For Windows 7 or later, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
    • For Windows 32-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_32.msp"
    • For Windows 64-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_64.msp"
  4. Click Finish. The ISAM ESSO AccessAgent Installer Information window is displayed.
  5. Click Yes.
  6. Restart the computer.
  7. Right-click the AccessAgent tray icon in the system tray and select About ISAM ESSO AccessAgent. The AccessAgent version is displayed.

If you successfully installed 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008, the AccessAgent version is updated to 8.2.2.0195 and the AccessAgent maintenance level is FP0008.


Installing the AccessAgent fix pack silently

You can also choose to install the fix pack silently.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have administrator privileges.

Procedure

Use the following script for silent installation on a command line.

Note: For Windows 7 or later, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
  • For Windows 32-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_32.msp" /quiet
  • For Windows 64-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0008_64.msp" /quiet
