Cumulative updates for IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1

Download Description

This page contains product updates for the IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 compilers on the following platforms:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (RHEL 5) for IBM Power Systems
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL 6) for IBM Power Systems
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 2 (SLES 10 SP2) for IBM Power Systems
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1 (SLES 11 SP1) for IBM Power Systems

This update fixes the following APARs*:
LI76278 - Block data leads to internal compiler error
LI76072 - Segmentation fault in stub code
LI76298 - Performance of 32b loop counters in 64b mode
LI76044 - Incorrect calculation results with -qhot
LI76299 - Incorrect branch optimization
LI76280 - Bad stabstring with Fortran parameter
LI76283 - Stabstring entry missing type with -qrecur
LI76284 - Missing stabstring type for Fortran ENTRY
LI76143 - Internal compiler error in xlfcode
LI76303 - Performance degradation.
LI75927 - Signal 6 in xlfcode
LI76285 - Support for data type leads to syntax error
LI76304 - Internal compiler error with -qattr and -qxref
LI76295 - July 2011 Update for XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1
LI76296 - July 2011 Runtime for XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1

Prerequisites

IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 compiler, at the base level (13.1.0.0) or higher.

RHEL 5, SLES 10 and SLES 11

RHEL 6
Please follow these additional instructions and you may also need this technote.

Note: If the 32-bit libstdc++ package is not installed on a target RHEL6 system, running programs compiled with the XL Fortran compiler may fail due to the missing shared library libstdc++.so.6. To resolve the issue, install the following 32-bit package from the RHEL6 distribution:

rpm -ivh libstdc++-4.4.4-13.el6.ppc.rpm
