Problem
It is not possible to add Mozilla Firefox version 52 as the Web browser for testing in the Enable Environments wizard in Rational Functional Tester.
Diagnosing The Problem
While enabling Mozilla Firefox as the Web browser for testing in the Enable Environments wizard, Rational Functional Tester displays an error message similar to the one shown below:
Resolving The Problem
To resolve the problem, do the following steps:
- Close Rational Functional Tester, if open.
- Close Mozilla Firefox.
- Open Windows Explorer and go to <Mozilla Firefox installation directory>\browser. For example,C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\browser.
- Create a new folder called components.
- Open Rational Functional Tester - Eclipse Integration.
- Go to Configure menu and click Enable Environments for testing.
- Open the Web Browsers tab.
- Click Add to browse to the Mozilla Firefox installation directory and select Mozilla Firefox.
