1) WMQ FTE code

Change to the directory where the WMQ FTE code is located. The following example is for Windows:

C:\> cd "C:\Program Files\IBM\WMQFTE\bin"

Run the command: fteDisplayVersion.cmd
Note: This command was introduced in 7.0.3

C:\Program Files\IBM\WMQFTE\bin> fteDisplayVersion.cmd
5655-U80, 5724-R10 Copyright IBM Corp. 2008, 2010. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
Name: WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Server
Version: 7.0.3

2) WMQ FTE Explorer Plug-in

Note: There was no change to the WMQ FTE Explorer Plug-in in 7.0.4.0, thus, the version information for 7.0.4.0 still shows 7.0.3.0

Start the IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer

From the top Menu bar select "Help" and then "About IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer"



You will see the following window. Click on "Plug-in Details"



In the next window click on "Plug-in Name" to sort the entries to facilitate the search for the desired plug-in:
WebSphere MQ Explorer Managed File Transfer Runtime
Notice that the version in this example is 7.0.3.0
