FLEXlm error: -5,357 No such feature exists

Troubleshooting


Problem

This technote discusses an issue that occurs when you have one Authorized License key for IBM Rational TeamTest used by different users on the same machine for Rational Robot.. IBM Rational TeamTest includes a license for IBM Rational Robot. If one user logged off and another user logged in to use Rational Robot he might get the following error message:

Symptom

FLEXlm error: -5,357 "No such feature exists"

Cause

This error is generated because the license usage order is set per user and not per machine.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue and avoid this error happening, follow these steps:

  1. Open the License Key Administrator.
  2. Click Settings on the main menu.
  3. Click License Usage Mapper.
  4. On the installed products box highlight Rational Robot.
  5. On the license usage order box select Rational TeamTest.
    Move the box to the top with the Up and Down button on the right side. Then clear the rest of the products.
  6. Click OK to confirm the changes made and start the product.
  7. Rational Robot should start now without error message.
