 UTILITY DATA SET NOT ALLOCATED , SYSTEM OR INSTALLATION ERROR+

* All DB2 12 for z/OS users who submit bind package commands   *
* from the DB2I installation panel with LIBRARY option and     *
* password specified.                                          *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* A BIND PACKAGE command issued from DB2I installation panel   *
* fails when the LIBRARY option and the password are both      *
* specified. The following error message is returned.          *
* UTILITY DATA SET NOT ALLOCATED , SYSTEM OR INSTALLATION      *
* ERROR+                                                       *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Apply corrective PTF when available                          *

A BIND PACKAGE command issued from DB2I installation panel fails
when the LIBRARY option and the password are both specified. The
following error message is returned.

UTILITY DATA SET NOT ALLOCATED , SYSTEM OR INSTALLATION ERROR+



The BIND command parser didn't handle the password in the
LIBRARY option correctly.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DB2 has been changed so that the bind command parser can process
the password in LIBRARY option correctly.
