APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User created a Rational Functional Tester (RFT) Web UI test, now
trying to insert few more steps in existing script. Played back
existing test on Edge browser and selected "Allow recording
after playback" option to have browser in open state after
playback. then using Insert -> Steps from Recording (Web)
option, trying to use existing browser instance so selected
"Running Browser instance" option on Select client application
window.
Now open the existing browser instance and record actions.
Observed no packets increased and after stopping recording, no
steps generated from this page.

Problem conclusion


    

  • When you recorded a Web UI test or added steps to an existing
test by using the Running browser instance option in Google
Chrome or Microsoft Edge, Rational Functional Tester did not
generate the test steps after you stopped recording. This
problem is fixed.

The fix for this APAR is included in 10.5.4 release.
