PH54222: REMOTEAGENT PORT IN PREFERENCES IS IGNORED BY RATIONAL FUNCTIONAL TESTER FOR MOBILE TESTING ON PLAYBACK

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User reported an issue while using remote agent concept for
  Rational Functional Tester (RFT) mobile testing.
  
  Any combination of Appium Server hostname and port specified in
  the Windows > Preferences > Test Execution > UI Test Playback >
  Mobile Device tab seems to be ignored and RFT always tries to
  connect to port 7082 of localhost.
  
  Throwing below message on Unified Report
  Appium server is not reachable on host 127.0.0.1, port 7082

Problem conclusion

• Previously, when you ran a mobile test on devices or simulators
  connected to a remote agent computer on a Mac operating system,
  the port number of the remote agent specified in the Window >
  Preferences > Test > Test Execution > UI Test Playback > Mobile
  Device tab was ignored, and the test failed with an error. This
  problem is fixed.
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in 10.5.3 release.
