APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you promote a message field in Recording Studio, then filter
    on it, if you demote that field you can cause RIT to stop
    displaying correctly.
    The screen appears to repaint where you move the mouse pointer.
    
    An exception is logged in the JVM console as follows:

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Record or import some messages to Recoprding Studio
    
    2. Select a message filed and click Promote Field
        The field is added to the list of message events
    
    3. Right-click the promoted field column header and click Filter
    
    4. Right-click the promoted field column header and click Demote
    
    
    WORKAROUND
    
    Re-start RIT
