Error description

• After a successful TDMF migration using the default SPIDFENCE op
  tion, ICKDSF INIT of the old source volume failed with the messa
  ge
  ICK31306I VERIFICATION FAILED: DEVICE FOUND TO BE GROUPED
  

Local fix

• Manually vary the device online and offline on the affected syst
  ems prior to running ICKDSF.
  

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: New ICKDSF parms now check for CU            *
  *                 path groups being enabled/diasabled          *
  *                 when a volume is being formatted or          *
  *                 initialised after a TDMF migration.          *
  *                 TDMF's use if the IEEVARYD service did not   *
  *                 result in Logical Paths being disbanded.     *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IEEVARYD when issued to a UCB with      *
  *                      UCBONLI set off did not disband the     *
  *                      logical paths.                          *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  TDMF will correct this and ensure the logical paths are
  withdrawn.
  

Problem conclusion

• If the ICKDSF message is issued the operator VARY command
  can be used to disband the path groups.
