APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Advanced Dev Portal is not prompting for security question for
password reset and user login.

1) Modules -> turn on Security questions
2) Configuration -> Security questions -> Settings -> checked
"Password reset request" and "User login"
3) People -> Permissions -> Security questions -> unchecked
"Bypass security question" for all roles
4) Edit the user account -> Security questions -> selected a
question and entered an answer.

Log out -> log in -> no security question.
Log out -> requested new password -> no security question.
Rebooted the VM and repeated steps but will not be prompted for
the security question.


"Forgot Password" doesn't work when SCIM is in use

Local fix

  • No workaround.

Problem summary

  • Advanced Dev Portal is not prompting for security question for
password reset and user login.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is targeted for inclusion in IBM APIM v.4.0.2.1. IBM API
