Error description
Performance issues expanding the where clause of their saved queries after they updated to 7.6.0.8 (from 7.6.0.5). It turns out the first query in their list has a substantial amount of records returned (+18,000). Even though they're expanding a different saved query and didn't make any changes to their saved query, the validate clause (psdi.webclient.system.beans.DataBean.validateClause (DataBean.java:5383)) is firing on the first query and not the newly selected query which is causing it to pull all 18,000+ records. It doesn't make sense to execute the logic of the first query since nothing has changed and the user didn't select that query. It's hard to see the performance impact without having a decent sized work order table. But to show the first query is being executed when you expand a different saved query you can turn on SQL logging on the WORKORDER table. Recreate in a demo environment 1) Go to the logging application 2) Filter for sql in the Root Loggers 3) In the loggers section below create an entry for WORKORDER.WORKORDER with a log level of INFO Then go to the Work Order tracking application. 1) Click the down arrow next to Save Query 2) Choose View/Manage Queries 3) Expand one of the saved queries (other than Bedford Work Orders) 4) The query for Bedford Work Orders ((woclass in (select value from synonymdomain where domainid = 'WOCLASS' and maxvalue in ('WORKORDER','WOACTIVITY')) and historyflag = 0 and istask = 0 and siteid = 'BEDFORD')) is executed in the logs
