IV96998: FAILURE CODE SECTION DISAPPEARS AFTER CHANGING THE LOCATION/ASSE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 1. Go to Assets - Failure Codes and create a Failure Code FC1
    
    2. Add a problem P1 in the Problems tab via the New Row button
    
    3. Add a cause C1 in the Causes for P1 tab
    
    4. Add a remedy R1 in the Remedies for C1 tab.
    
    5. Add a new Failure Code : Repeat the steps 1-4 above for a
    new Failure
    Code FC2 (add a problem P2, cause C2, remedy R2)
    
    6. Go to Assets - Location and create a new Location L1
    
    7. Apply to Primary System
    
    8. Add Boiler as the Parent
    
    9. Apply Failure Class FC1 to this Location
    
    10. Activate this Location L1
    
    11. Create a new Location L2, repeat steps 6-7-8
    
    12. Apply Failure Code FC2 to this location
    
    13. Activate Location L2
    
    14. Go to Assets - Assets
    
    15. Create a new Assest A1 and associate it with Location L1,
    apply
    Failure Class FC1 and change status to active
    
    16. Create a new Assest A2 and associate it with Location L2,
    apply
    Failure Class FC2 and change status to active
    
    17. Go to Work Orders - Work Order Tracking and create a new
    Work
    Order : 1208
    
    18. Apply location L1 and Assest A1 to this WO and choose
    Problem code
    P1
    
    19. Save Work Order
    
    20. Go to Failure Reporting tab and check Failure Codes table,
    there the
    problem code P1 shows in the Failure Codes section (CORRECT)
    
    21. In the WO main tab, change to location to L2 and click on
    the
    question mark: a warning pop-up shows, click Yes to apply L2.
    
    22. Now the Problem Code field is empty.
    
    23. Click on the Select Value icon for the Problem Code field
    and choose
    P2 from the pop-up
    
    24. After this selection, P2 is correctly populated,
    - There is a slight deviation in the client's 7507 environment
    where,
    in client case, the value reverts to P1
    - However, the main issue is as described below in Step 25.
    
    25. Checking the Failure Reporting tab, there is no Failure
    Codes
    section present (THIS IS THE ISSUE)
    The expectation is that the Failure Codes section should contain
    Problem Code P2

    Work Order.
    
    18. Apply location L1 and Assest A1 to this WO and choose
    Problem code P1
    
    19. Save Work Order
    
    20. Go to Failure Reporting tab and check Failure Codes table.
    The problem code P1 shows in the Failure Codes section (CORRECT)
