IV94774: ERROR - SITEID NOT VALID WHEN CHANGING SITE VALUE ON SERVICE REQUEST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This issue was reported on Maximo 7603 when a user who has
  access to more than one site or all sites creates an SR under
  one site name and then changes to a new site. e.g. if by error
  the SR was created under wrong site firstly.
  
  The problem doesnt happen on the site id itself but rather when
  the user then selects a new location for the site.
  Whilst the user can view the new location values, when attempt
  is made to select one - the error appears that "SITEID is not
  valid"
  .
  The logfiles show that the initial site is still being queried.
  
  STEPS TO RECREATE:
  
  1. Go Organizations and ensure I have 2 organizations both
  containing sites
  2. Ensure the user I am logged in as has access to both sites
  3. Login as user on org1, site 1
  4. Create a Service Request.. fill in both site and location
  5. Change the site to Site 2 on the SR
  6. Clear location value and "save"
  7. Now try and change the value to a location on this changed
  site
  8. From field "go to locations" select location on site 2 (the
  location
  does appear and site has changed successfully)
  9. But when I attempt to select the value I receive the error
  that the site is not valid
