IV92543: YOU CANNOT SELECT LABOR AND HOLDING STOREROOMS IN THE TO STOREROOM FIELD WHEN TRANSFERRING ITEMS IN INVENTORY APP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  
  If your security group does not have the "Authorized Group for
  All
  Sites" checkbox marked, then you are not able to see the LABOR
  and
  HOLDING storeroom locations in Inventory app, when you are
  transfering
  current item, in the To Storeroom field. However, if you type a
  value
  of a LABOR or HOLDING location, then it works. This happens
  even if you
  have access to the SITEID related to these records, although the
  "Authorized Group for All Sites" is not checked in Security
  Groups.
  
  The value does not show in the Select Value, but it is accepted
  if you
  manually type in.
  
  Steps to replicate :
  
  1- Open Maximo as maxadmin
  2- Go to Security Groups app
  3- Duplicate the MAXADMIN group
  4- Make sure that in Sites tab, the "Authorized Group for All
  Sites" checkbox is unchecked.
  5- Authorize access to BEDFORD site only
  6- Save Record
  7- Go to Users app and create a new user and new person
  associated
  8- Add the new user to the security group you created above, in
  Security Groups tab
  9- Ensure you have a password for this user to connect into
  Maximo
  10- Log out Maximo
  11- Log back in as the new user
  12- Go to Inventory app
  13- From the list tab, press enter and select any record
  14- Click on Select Actions > Transfer Current Item
  15- On the dialog box, click Select Value, on the To Storeroom
  field.
  
  As a result, you are not able to see the LABOR and HOLDING
  storeroom locations, however, if you type a value of a LABOR or
  HOLDING location, like SMITH, then it works.) This happens even
  if you have access to the SITEID related to these records,
  although the "Authorized Group for All Sites" is not checked in
  Security Groups.
  
  The value does not show in the Select Value, but it is accepted
  if you manually type in.
