APAR status

Error description

  • The problem seems to be when a customer is running unix or
    linux servers, they are case sensitive.  Our help folders are
    lower-case. The locale we're getting from the browser seems to
    be upper-case.  We append that to the url for the lang
    parameter.  We need to send those as lower-case.  We may want
    to wrap it in a system property to lower-case it though.  I
    think (this will have to be tested) some locales, like pt-BR,
    may be stored in mixed case folders.
    

Local fix

  • In SMP\maximo\applications\mxiehs\iehsweb\webmodule\WEB-INF\
    eclipse\plugins, for each subfolder there is an nl folder
    within. In the nl folder is the different language codes for
    the help ear. Change all of these folders to the same letters
    but uppercase instead of lowercase, then rebuild and redeploy
    the ear.
